Officially handing over the newly reconstructed one story building apartment of the High Commission of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey advised the Diplomatic Missions who are residents in Ghana to from time to time cross check all documents to ensure that they are registered and up-to-date to avoid unfortunate situations such as the demolition of the previous apartment of the Nigerian High Commission which nearly disrupted Diplomatic ties between Ghana and Nigeria.
The unexpected incident occurred on June 20, 2020 where the apartment belonging to the High Commission of the Federal Republic of Nigeria was unlawfully demolished which threatened the cordial relations and bilateral ties between the two countries.
